For the first time in 4 years i have 0 credit card debt.

And I think I have found what i've been looking for. I have a nasty habit of dressing things up into what i want them to be, which has caused me an incredible amount of grief in the past. Its a funny thing... you're never too sure if you don't have it, but you are 1000% certain when you do...which also makes no sense. Anyway, I've felt alive these past few days, a way i have not felt in about 3 years. It gives me hope, security, confidence... everything. This time is different, I'm ready for it now. I have my big-boy pants on and i can do anything i used to dream of doing. This feels surreal, or rather my life does feel real again. I miss things that havent even happened yet.

Maybe this one will stick around long enough to see life through my eyes, see how amazing it can be

Subject: in response to a mother's day post secret

the day before my grandmother died, she wrote her name and mine on a piece of paper. it makes me happy that she held on to that one memory even when others were gone.

i still have the piece of paper. reading that person's secret motivated me to go out and get it framed.

my mom once told me that if we ever got into a fight and something happened to one of us, that she knows I love her no matter what I said or did, and I should know the same

(she's sitting next to me as I type this... I love you mom!)

My mom died of cancer when I was 17. I'm almost 24 now and I'm still angry and I'm still sad, but I'm finally having a good year. Kids like us are everywhere. We find each other. We help each other feel a little less alone.

I called my mom on mothers day, to tell her happy mothers day.
She asked me who I was.
My mom deleted my phone number when she found out I was gay.

After I read through all the Mothers Day secrets, I emailed the link to my mother. She called and we just finished sharing some of our family secrets over the phone. But here is one more I didn’t tell her.

I am going to surprise her with concert tickets.

well it seems i have found myself again
hmm well there is quite an update!

I no longer am a part of GILL as they kicked me out over a year ago and broke up since anyway.

I believe in love still, but only faintly.

my family is amazing and i regret running away from them for so long.

I am called to ministry, and i am indeed answering said call.

World of Warcraft destroyed 2 years of my life and i want them back.

Today we went out to eat to celebrate josh's last day of high school. It was a tremendous occasion.

I am buying myself a wii for mothers day and disguising it as a gift for my mother.

I salute myself for that one. And i also salute my shorts. I mean why not? what else are you going to do with them.

I love this!!@#!@

Happy anniversary!
...and Cinco de Mayo. One year ago today was the our first date. Having important events on a holiday is a great way to remember the anniversaries. I recommend it for any guy.

That date was spent eating, drinking, and shooting pool at Zaytoon in the Alberta district. I remember looking around at midnight when Sam took a bathroom break and realizing that there were only three other guys in the place. Interesting. We haven't been back since then, but we probably will when Sam is back on the mainland.

So Sam is in Hawaii this week with her aunt and uncle. She asked what I was going to do while she's gone. I told her I planned on laying around in my pajamas, playing video games, and belching. "Oh, so the usual then?"

Yesterday was my first day without her. I was determined to be as lazy as humanly possible. It was a gorgeous day with sun and temps in 70s. I felt guilty for not being out there enjoying it so I closed the blinds.

Subject: losing everything

As of a week ago Monday, I have discovered that my husband and I are on the edge of losing everything. The likely future will include liquidating our possessions and moving into a very small place.

I am exhilarated. He is paralyzed with fears. I don't know if our marriage will survive.

I can't wait to see what happens.

the funny thing about the intellectual woman postcard is that it depicts beatrix potter, who was, yes, an intellectual woman, but who also found love not once but twice.

I was laid off over 2 months ago. I was at a new job after having been laid off for 11 months. I don't qualify for unemployment. I lost my car, I am about to loose my apartment and I am not afraid. Maybe I should be. I actually feel though that for the first time I FINALLY have the freedom to do the things I have always wanted to do. Everyone else thinks I am crazy.
